to be the ceo of your life

Nope, chance doesn't exist!

This morning I found what I needed: inspiration and a mentor

For a while now, I've been searching YouTube for a channel featuring an inspiring female entrepreneur. I love creating, transforming ideas and visions by bringing them to life. I love it! I feel alive and incredibly creative. So, while patiently waiting for a new creative spark, a new impetus, I had this urge to immerse myself in someone else's entrepreneurial world because I find entrepreneurship simply fascinating! To be honest, I wanted to dream.

I hadn't found anything until today! That's when I stumbled upon a short video by Tracee Ellis Ross where she talked about not having funded her hair care brand. It immediately caught my attention, and I wanted to know more. So, I immediately stopped watching the video to listen to the entire podcast, "Become the CEO of Your Life" by Emma Grede. I hope you, the reader of this blog, understand English because this video is a GEM!! So take good notes because it's intense. And the set, can we talk about it?! Everything was beautiful, elegant, and chic, just the way I like it. Tracee was true to Tracee, which is to say, STYLISH...as usual. This woman is my fashion inspiration; I want to be her when I grow up, lol. And today she dazzled me with her mindset and experience.

So before starting my little podcast in my cozy bed, I thanked God for putting this video in my feed. I immediately recognized her work and thanked her joyfully for always knowing what I need and giving it to me.

Mindset, inspiration, beauty EVERYTHING WAS THERE!

How to become the CEO of your own life?

If you're reading this blog, it's because I think you, like me, want to create a life that truly reflects who you are. You have this deep desire to fulfill your potential and develop your abilities. Because yes, I too have this desire to make my dreams a reality, to do what makes me happy, and to have a life that fits me perfectly. But above all, I don't want to return to my Creator empty-handed! I want to return to Him having developed the talents and strengths He entrusted to me to be of His service. In short, as you've probably gathered, I think you too feel this calling, the call to service. But the question remains: how do we go about it? ;)

some points discussed in the podcast by Tracee Ellis Ross

It all starts by asking yourself what YOU want and then listening to your emotions. The key to this whole process is knowing who YOU are, what your values are, what you like and dislike, what matters to you, and what your definition of happiness is.

The goal of this approach is as follows:

Don't live your life asleep!

Because if you live your life on autopilot, you'll inevitably end up somewhere, but you might not like the destination once you wake up. And you and I both know that time flies! So it's about making choices that align with your inner self, the part of you no one else sees, and that means facing uncomfortable emotions. Emotions you've neglected. What are your fears, your pains, and how do you manage them? Do you have a soothing and compassionate inner response in your vulnerable moments?

For example: if you feel bored, it's because you're lacking joy and enthusiasm. This emotion is telling you what you need, so don't push it away or trap yourself in a victim mentality. Welcome it, listen to it, and offer yourself a comforting word that reflects what you need. Be kind and loving. Only you know what you need and how to calm yourself.

I imagine you want even more concrete details?

Alongside this inner work, write a list of your desires, goals, how you would like to live your life, and how you would like to feel. Once you have this list, use it as a roadmap and start putting actions in place, however small they may be. Emotions will inevitably arise when you begin to take control of your life; remember to listen to them, good or bad, take them into consideration, and respond with the opposite of what they evoke in you.

As an example, here is my list AKA my personal road map!

  • Beauty all around me

  • Creativity

  • Music

  • Laughter & joy

  • Happiness & fulfillment

  • Freedom

  • Friendships

  • neyney (that's the nickname I give to my friend money ;)

Now it's your turn! Want to take it a step further and move from thinking to doing?

I've created a planner called "Dare to Start Your First Business" to help you organize your ideas, desires, and first steps. Yes, it's in French for French speakers, but the English version is coming very soon, promise!
With all my encouragement,

Nikki
